What does service in a D/s manner mean to you?

Trying to please the dominant in whatever way she would like me to, but not only that. I try to come up with some things that would please her, without her asking, so that I might surprise her positively. So far in my experience I enjoy doing things for the domme, even when they are not thing that I usually enjoy doing, because I know the things I do please her and I do like to please.

With regard to service for a hypnodomme, I think you always have to be the one to decide what you can and cannot do. Well done for recognizing your boundaries and not ignoring them.

There are two reasons I sometimes focus on service: First, anyone who puts forth the effort to dominate their partner deserves to have their needs met as well. I’ve seldom met a woman that didn’t love to experience that special feeling of her man doing something for her for no. reason. at. all. other than as an outlet for and an expression of his devotion to her. Second, some fellas forget it isn’t all about them and their penises :) Generally as a rule, people who participate in an activity like this already “get” both those things, but it’s still a fun activity.

I am not at all sure I understand service in a D/s manner. I backed out of one relationship with a hypnodomme because I felt she was asking rather more than I had agreed to give. I was dismissed from another because my Lady did not feel my behavior was submissive in the way she wanted. I rather suspect I am not submissive in the D/s sense at all, although I believe everyone is submissive, or deferrential, in social interactions with those he feels are superior to himself in some way that is significant to him.

While waiting, I want to establish a baseline for my behavior: last night i sold part of my coin collection in order to take my wife out to dinner. I try to take her out on a ‘date’ about once a week, just to let her know how much I love her,and enjoy being with her.

You are welcome. Dominance and submission involves a give and take. Providing service at another’s direction is an act of submission. Such actions are, for me, always attended by a mixture of feelings.

It is the feeling for me to be used, to the welfare of a Lady.
Suspending my own wants and needs in order to fulfill my Dominant’s needs and desires. Being perceived by her as a servant. The act for me is reward enough or at least it should be.
